First (pre-)release of ICOS final quality controlled data

22 May 2018 to 30 September 2018
Example preview of Hohenpeissenberg timeseries of CO2

On 22 May 2018 ICOS ATC released the first Level 2 ICOS data! Level 2 data is final and fully quality controlled observational data. This pre-release concerns data over 2016 and 2017 from the four atmosphere stations labelled in November 2017: SMEAR, OPE, Hohenpeissenberg and Gartow. The data concerns hourly averaged mole fractions of CO2, CH4 and CO, meteorological observations and two weekly integrated samples of 14CO2.

This summer a release will follow for data from all eleven currently labelled stations up until April 2018, as recently approved by the Atmosphere Monitoring Stations Assembly (MSA).

The data can be browsed and downloaded from the Carbon Portal app by using this pre-configured search link. You can also download the complte dataset from the collection landing page or direct download the data object as zip file.

All downloads require that you accept the ICOS data licence. Which for example entails that you cite the data as follows:
