GEO Side Event "Open Get-Together and Information Event of the GEO Carbon and GHG Initiative"
Date: 24th August 2017, 18:15 - 19:45
Location: Room HARDER, Interlaken, Switzerland

Group on Earth Observations (GEO), Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC) and Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS) will organise GEO side event titled "Open Get-Together and Information Event of the GEO Carbon and GHG Initiative" during 10th International Carbon Dioxide Conference (ICDC10) in Interlaken on Thursday 24th from 18:15 to 19:45 in room HARDER.

The GEO Carbon and GHG Initiative (GEO-C) is developing a coordinated system of observations and evaluation of changes in the carbon cycle and greenhouse gas emissions. GEO-C builds on existing initiatives and networks, supports continuity and coherence, facilitates cooperation and interoperability and fills in gaps for a globally coordinated analysis system for carbon and GHGs as they relate to human activities and climate change, in support of the UNFCCC.

All are warmly welcome to this informal get-together. Wine and snacks will be served.
